The facts

The complainant, living on the second floor, alleged that the respondent living on the ground floor had installed CCTV cameras capturing him and his family, including a rotating camera that followed his movements, feared for his son's safety, and alleged that people unrelated to the household could view the footage. The police investigation found all the cameras captured images inside the respondent's property and none of them were rotating.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties. The published summary carries no monetary order.
