The facts

The complainant alleged that his neighbour's CCTV cameras were capturing images inside his premises. The Police reported that the complainant no longer wished to proceed because the neighbour had already put things right, and a site visit verified the cameras had been lowered to capture images only within the respondent's compound.

Orders and outcome

The Data Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties, finding that no breach of the Data Protection Act had occurred.
