The facts

The complainants alleged that their neighbours' surveillance cameras intrusively captured images of their private property and monitored activities within their premises without consent, and feared the images could be misused. The police site visit mapped five cameras, each viewing the respondents' own residence, parking, common family road, yard or entrance, and while viewing the footage the Police at no moment noticed any image of the complainant's premises.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties. The published summary carries no monetary order.
