The facts

The complainant alleged by email that her neighbour had installed two CCTV cameras, one facing her main gate and the other facing her door and windows, leaving her without privacy in her comings and goings. The Data Protection Office asked the Police to investigate and conduct a site visit, which found that none of the respondent's cameras captured images outside the respondent's premises in the disputed manner.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the DPA.
