Everything on this site, including the tracker, landscape, laws library and reports, is legal information: summaries of public documents, prepared with care but without knowledge of your situation. It is not legal advice, and reading it does not create a lawyer-client relationship with Law Lab Africa or anyone at it. Verify against the linked official sources and take advice on your facts.
Accuracy
We verify records against source documents and correct errors publicly (see the methodology; each correction is noted and dated on the record page itself), but we do not warrant completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Regulators amend, appeal courts reverse, and websites lag reality.
Use of the database
The tracker and datasets are protected by copyright and database rights. Individual records and statistics may be quoted freely with attribution ("Law Lab Africa Research" plus a link to the record or to https://research.lawlab.africa/tracker/). Systematic extraction, republication of substantial parts, scraping for redistribution, or use to build a competing database requires a commercial licence: see data licensing.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Law Lab Africa is not liable for loss arising from reliance on this site. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
