§ Legal · LICENSING
Data licensing
Free with attribution. Commercial reuse licensed. One page, plain language. Last updated 22 July 2026.
What you can do without asking
- Quote any record, statistic or chart in articles, advice, filings, teaching or research, with attribution: "Law Lab Africa Research" and a link to the record page (or to https://research.lawlab.africa/tracker/ in print).
- Link to any page. Deep links are permanent by design.
- Use small excerpts (a handful of records) in slides, memos and posts, with the same attribution.
What needs a licence
- Republishing the dataset or any substantial part of it, in any format.
- Bulk or systematic extraction (scraping, crawling for content, feeding a product or model).
- Building a commercial product, feed, API or database on our records.
- White-labelling or removing attribution.
Commercial licences are simple and priced sanely; write to info@lawlab.africa with what you want to build.
Why
The facts of a regulator's decision belong to everyone. The selection, verification, structure, summaries and statistics here are Law Lab Africa's work, maintained continuously; licensing funds keeping the record straight.
