The facts

The complainant alleged the respondent had installed a 360-degree rotating camera about five feet from his wall with a direct view into his wife's bedroom, in constant motion, recording sound and fitted with a speaker. The disputed camera was replaced with a fixed bullet camera re-oriented so that only images within the respondent's premises are captured, which the Police confirmed by viewing the connected mobile phone.

Orders and outcome

The Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the Data Protection Act 2017.
