The facts

The complainant alleged that his neighbour had affixed CCTV cameras pointing directly at his backyard and two bedroom windows, invading his family's privacy. The Police site visit requested by the Data Protection Office found the cameras were inclined towards the ground and captured no images inside the complainant's premises.

Orders and outcome

The Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties.
