Summary

The complainant alleged that a neighbour had installed CCTV cameras capturing footage of a public road that was the sole access to a residential co-ownership, and that residents and employees reported being harassed based on recorded movements. The Data Protection Office sought Police assistance for a site visit; the Police reported the cameras were fixed on the wall and were not capturing images inside the complainant's premises. Following the complainant's objection, a written statement was obtained from the respondent, confirming the cameras did not capture images inside the complainant's premises.
