The facts

The complainant alleged that a neighbour had placed a camera facing her house, courtyard and toilet area without signage, had resisted police advice to reposition it, and that the situation was traumatising her elderly mother. A Police site visit found the respondent was settled abroad and his premises were not equipped with any CCTV camera.

Orders and outcome

The Data Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties.
