The facts

The complainant alleged a neighbour's CCTV cameras pointed towards his personal property, letting the neighbour view and record his store. At a police site visit the respondent, who had installed six cameras for security, voluntarily repositioned the camera pointing towards the complainant's property in the officers' presence and promised to keep the peace.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the closure provision of the Data Protection Act.
