The facts

The complainant reported that his neighbour had installed a CCTV camera which he believed was viewing his entire property. The Data Protection Office asked the Police to investigate; a site visit found the disputed camera had been re-oriented and was no longer facing the complainant's premises.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the closure provision of the Data Protection Act.
