The facts

The complainant alleged that a neighbour had installed two CCTV cameras, one angled at her garage and room and the other at her entrance, leaving her feeling she had no privacy in her own house. The Data Protection Office asked the Police to investigate and conduct a site visit. The Police reported that the matter had been settled between the parties and the complainant did not wish to proceed further.

Orders and outcome

The Data Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties.
