Summary

The complainant alleged that a neighbour had placed CCTV cameras facing the complainant’s private path, which the complainant considered a violation of constitutional privacy rights. The complainant did not respond to the office’s request to complete official complaint forms, but the office referred the matter to the Police, who conducted a site visit and found the cameras had been repositioned to capture images only within the respondent’s compound. The enquiry was closed with an express finding that no breach of the Data Protection Act had occurred.
