The facts

The complainant alleged that a neighbour's camera was directed at her house and greenhouse and captured footage from the property, leaving family members feeling unsafe. A Police site visit found the CCTV camera captured only inside the respondent's premises; the respondent, an elderly man living alone with his wife, said it was installed for personal security.

Orders and outcome

The Data Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties.
