The facts

The complainant alleged that his neighbour's CCTV cameras were capturing the common road and his house and were directed towards his windows, with the light they emitted at night disturbing him and leaving him feeling monitored. After a police site visit requested by the Data Protection Office, the Police reported that a camera fixed near the respondent's gate captured only the respondent's entrance path and that no images inside the complainant's premises were being captured.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties. The published summary carries no monetary order.
