The facts

The complainant alleged his neighbour's CCTV cameras faced directly towards his house, depriving him of privacy. The Police found the cameras captured the respondent's entrance door, had been installed to help trace wrongdoers accessing the building, were welcomed by other residents, and did not capture images inside the complainant's premises.

Orders and outcome

The Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the Data Protection Act.
