Summary

The complainant alleged that the respondent neighbour had installed CCTV cameras facing directly towards the complainant's house, leaving the complainant with no privacy. The Police conducted a site visit and found that the cameras were capturing footage of the respondent's entrance door, were not capturing images inside the complainant's premises, and had been installed to assist the Police in tracing wrongdoers. The enquiry was closed under section 6 of the Data Protection Act.
