The facts

The complainant alleged a neighbour had installed CCTV cameras with one positioned towards his house and personal space, leaving his family, including a young daughter, feeling observed, and expressed fears about misuse of the recordings. The Police found the cameras had already been re-oriented away from the complainant; the respondent and his wife declined to give a written statement.

The Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the Data Protection Act 2017.
