The facts

The complainant, an elderly man, feared his neighbour's surveillance cameras might be capturing his private life. The Police site visit confirmed the two installed devices were simulated (dummy) cameras incapable of capturing or recording any images.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the enquiry provisions of the Data Protection Act 2017.
