The facts

The complainant emailed the Data Protection Office alleging that neighbours had installed CCTV cameras facing her yard and a shared access road, watching her and her family. The Office asked the Police to investigate and conduct a site visit at the respondent's premises. The Police reported that a site visit was carried out and that the complainant had not made any complaint to their station, enclosing the site visit report.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the enquiry provisions of the Data Protection Act 2017.
