The facts

The complainant alleged that the respondent's CCTV cameras pointed towards his yard and infringed his privacy, and that the respondent refused to remove them. The Police found the cameras were not capturing images inside the complainant's premises. The complainant objected to closing the matter, so the respondent was required to provide a written statement, which, with supporting evidence and the Police report, confirmed the cameras did not capture images inside the complainant's premises.

Orders and outcome

The Data Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties.
