The facts

The complainant alleged a neighbour's voice-recording camera pointed into her courtyard and recorded conversations. The police found one camera was capturing images in the complainant's yard; it was re-positioned instantly, and the complainant was informed, satisfied and made no further complaint.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the closure provision of the Data Protection Act.
