The facts

An anonymously submitted complaint alleged that the respondent neighbour had installed a rotating camera directed towards the complainant's room, intruding on her privacy. The Data Protection Office asked the Police to investigate; the site visit confirmed the camera was not rotating and did not capture images of the complainant's premises.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the DPA.
