The facts

The complainant alleged that a neighbour had placed three CCTV cameras that intruded on her personal property, including one capturing her bedroom, balcony and garden and another facing her living room, plus cameras over a common access road. The Office referred the matter to the Police for a site visit, which found the respondent had already re-oriented the cameras so they no longer captured images towards the complainant's premises.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the enquiry provisions of the Data Protection Act 2017.
