Summary

The complainant alleged that the respondent neighbour had installed a camera facing the complainant's premises, which the complainant believed was recording private activities without consent and causing significant distress to the family. The Police conducted a site visit and found that the CCTV camera was capturing images of the respondent's entrance, stairs and porch within the respondent's own premises, and that a signage was displayed in front of the respondent's house. The enquiry was closed under section 6 of the Data Protection Act.
