Summary

The complainant alleged that his neighbour had installed surveillance cameras in shared areas without any visible signs, raising concerns about intrusion into his privacy. The Police conducted a site visit and recorded the respondent's statement; the respondent confirmed that while there were ongoing disagreements with the complainant, the CCTV cameras were not capturing images inside the complainant's premises nor causing any incrimination. The Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under section 6 of the DPA 2017.
