Anonymised respondent
No offence found; enquiry closed. DPO, 17 October 2019.
The facts
The complainant alleged one of his neighbour's cameras captured images of his backyard. Both parties repositioned or evidenced their cameras: recordings on a CD showed the complainant's eight cameras did not capture the respondent's premises, and the office informed both that neither party's premises were captured by the other's cameras. Neither raised further issues by the closing date.
Orders and outcome
The enquiry revealed, to the satisfaction of both parties, that no cameras captured prohibited images and no breach of the Data Protection Act was established.
