The facts
An institution complained that photographs of two pages of its attendance register circulated on WhatsApp, reportedly sent by the wife of one employee to another employee, though she had never had access to the premises. The reporting employee left the institution, and the institution did not confirm within the deadline whether it wished to proceed or provide the details requested.
Orders and outcome
With no concrete evidence adduced by either party, the enquiry was closed and no breach of the Data Protection Act found.
