The facts

The complainant alleged that a neighbour's security camera was pointed at and always watching his property. On a Police site visit the respondent voluntarily showed the footage, and the camera was found to face his own premises and part of the public road, not capturing images at the complainant's premises.

Orders and outcome

The Data Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties, finding that no breach of the Data Protection Act had occurred.
