The facts

The complainant alleged four cameras had been installed on a private lane without permission, monitoring his movements and visitors, one able to see into his compound. A police site visit found six CCTV cameras at the respondent's residence, none pointed towards the complainant's residence, with one facing the common road.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the closure provision of the Data Protection Act.
