Summary

The complainant alleged that the respondent's CCTV cameras were recording audio and capturing images of private activities, and had been installed without permission. The Data Protection Office referred the matter to the Police, who conducted a site visit and found that the cameras captured images only inside the respondent's premises, with no audio recorded. The enquiry was closed to the satisfaction of all parties under section 6 of the DPA.
