The complainant alleged Zerox Technology Limited called him incessantly, over 83 times within a span of 20 minutes, for a loan he was not party to. Investigations established he had been listed as an emergency contact without his express consent, his right to be informed was infringed, and the respondent provided false information to the Office.
Orders and outcome
The respondent was found liable, ordered to pay the complainant Kenya Shillings Three Hundred Thousand (Kshs. 300,000) as compensation, and an enforcement notice was issued against it. Dated April 2024 with the day illegible in the scan.
