The facts

Two complainants, whose complaints were consolidated, alleged Ceres Tech Limited, trading as RocketPesa, contacted them about loans they were unaware of and that they had not consented to being listed as referees or emergency contacts. Investigating officers visited the respondent's premises and a search of its database did not find the mobile numbers that had contacted the complainants, and no evidence proved the numbers belonged to the respondent.

Orders and outcome

The complaint was dismissed, with the complainants entitled to no remedies. Dated 20 April 2024.
