Senegal's CDP refused authorisation for the Auchan loyalty programme of SENAS (Auchan Retail Senegal), finding that consent was collected through pre-ticked boxes, that the terms of use fixed no exact retention period, and that the processing had been implemented before authorisation; the programme (Sama Kalpe) was suspended. The suspension was lifted in the fourth quarter of 2021 after the company brought the processing into conformity with the law.
