The facts

Following a control mission at the telecommunications operator Sentel GSM, trading as Free, on 5 September 2019, the CDP put the operator on formal notice for failing to honour the right to object and the permitted time slot for direct-marketing SMS, for camera-surveillance information notices that did not conform to the Commission's rules for workplaces, for unauthorised processing of workers' health data, and for having no personal-data protection policy.

Orders and outcome

After the operator replied to the formal notice, the CDP gave it one month to make the right to object and the SMS time-slot rules effective, required it to correct the information displayed on its notices, referred the workers' medical-file processing to the plenary for decision, and offered support in bringing its data protection policy into conformity. Dated 2019.
