Summary

The complainant, owner of a saloon, alleged that the respondent, a tenant of a neighbouring restaurant, had installed a CCTV camera facing the saloon's entrance and windows without permission, causing disturbance and discomfort to clients including women and tourists. The Police conducted two site visits and found that a motion tracker camera had initially been capturing images towards the complainant's premises but was no longer doing so by the second visit. The enquiry was closed under section 6 of the Data Protection Act.
