The facts

The complainant alleged that her co-tenant, also the house owner, installed a 360-degree CCTV camera with audio and recording features directed at areas she uses both commonly and exclusively. The Police verified the cameras were installed to secure the property and were directed at common areas only, without capturing tenants' rooms.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the enquiry provisions of the Data Protection Act 2017.
