The facts
The complainant alleged that neighbours had installed cameras directly on his property, monitoring his family's movements and recording personal conversations. The Police instructed the respondents to reposition their cameras within their own boundaries and a follow-up visit confirmed compliance.
Orders and outcome
The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the enquiry provisions of the Data Protection Act 2017.
