Summary

The complainant alleged that his brother had placed a camera in his car directed towards the complainant's room while parked in a shared garage, causing the complainant to feel unsafe and that his privacy was being invaded. The Police conducted a site visit, recorded the respondent's statement, and confirmed that the car camera automatically switches off when the engine is turned off and that the respondent covers it with a cloth pouch when the car is parked. The Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under section 6 of the DPA 2017.
