The facts

The complainant alleged that his brother had positioned a car camera towards his room, making him feel unsafe whenever the car was parked in the garage. The Police confirmed the car camera automatically switches off with the engine and that the respondent covers it with a cloth pouch when parked, as the device could not be repositioned.

Orders and outcome

The Data Protection Commissioner closed the enquiry to the satisfaction of all parties under the enquiry provisions of the Data Protection Act 2017.
