Anonymised respondents (3)
No offence found; enquiry closed. DPO, 28 March 2011.
The facts
The complainant, a consultant, alleged that three respondents made unauthorised use of his curriculum vitae in connection with a food security management system project after he had cancelled his contract and asked that his CV no longer be used. The enquiry found the project was implemented without using his CV, the funding institution returned the CV through the Data Protection Office, and a site visit found no copy of his personal data on the first respondent's computer. The complainant declared himself satisfied with the outcome.
Orders and outcome
The complaint was set aside: the offence was not proved beyond reasonable doubt, the CV was not used or disclosed incompatibly with the purposes for which it was collected, and the respondents had deleted the data once the purpose lapsed. Dated 28.03.11 per the document.
