A suo motu investigation by the ODPC into the operations of Zad Muslim School, Marsabit found that the school posted minors' photographs in its school attire on its social media platforms to induce the public to join the institution. The Office held that this amounted to internet marketing and commercialisation of the students' personal data without consent from the students or their guardians, and that the school was not compliant with the Act to that extent.
Orders and outcome
The respondent was found liable in respect of the suo motu investigation and an enforcement notice was issued against it. Dated 16 December 2025.
