The facts
The complainant alleged that Bliss Park Hotel unlawfully published copies of his national identity card, including his name, ID number and phone number, on various social media platforms. The ODPC found the respondent processed his personal data without consent but declined to award compensation on the circumstances of the case.
Orders and outcome
The respondent was found liable and ordered to delete or pull down the posts containing the complainant's personal data from all its platforms and provide proof to the Office within fourteen days, failing which an enforcement notice would be issued. Dated 26 August 2025.
