The facts

The complainant and respondent are neighbours in a Karen residential estate. The complainant objected to CCTV cameras the respondent installed at the entrance to his house. The ODPC found the respondent's use of CCTV to capture video and sound within his premises was processing in the course of a purely personal or household activity, which is exempt from the Act.
