The facts
The complainant alleged Black and Gold Executive Barbershop used his image online and on printed placards without his consent to advertise itself on its social media pages, and failed to pull the images down when he asked. The Office found his right to object infringed.
Orders and outcome
The respondent was found liable and ordered to pay the complainant Kenya Shillings Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand (Kshs. 250,000) as compensation. No enforcement notice was issued. Dated April 2024 with the day illegible in the scan.
