The facts

The complainant alleged Equity Bank Kenya violated his right to privacy by disclosing his personal information to a debt collector even after he had settled his debt with the bank. The bank refuted the claims. The ODPC found the complainant had not exhausted his options before approaching the Office and had not demonstrated any merit in his infringement claim through the evidence adduced.
