The complainant asked Airtel Networks Kenya to suspend his internet service in February 2021 and disputed how his account was handled afterwards, including invoicing around the suspension window. The respondent rectified the account records and erased the data it was no longer authorised to retain, stating the actions were promptly undertaken, and introduced a data protection and complaints handling procedure with compliance timelines. The Office, considering the evidence and the complainant's feedback with no further arising issues, found the respondent sufficiently addressed the complaint to the complainant's satisfaction.
