Summary

The Autorité found Yango recorded passenger conversations in ride-hailing vehicles without respecting data-subject rights - recordings could occur without the client's knowledge and the app's privacy policy omitted the right to object. Under articles 49-50 it issued a warning and formal notice: deactivate the call-recording option immediately until further order, lock and delete the audio recordings, and designate a data protection correspondent within seven days. The instrument threatens article 53 sanctions on default.
