The Autorité issued Hôtel Tiama (a 137-room hotel) a warning coupled with a formal notice (avertissement et mise en demeure) dated 17 November 2022, among its first published sanctions. On inspection the Authority found the hotel had not brought its processing into conformity with the 2013 data-protection law, operated video-surveillance and biometric processing without the required authorisation (arts. 7, 53 Loi 2013-450), and mishandled data reserved to the National Register of Physical Persons under decree 2018-454. The instrument warns Tiama and puts it on formal notice to comply.
